About the Club

Always dreamt of dancing wonderfully in time to beautiful melodies and songs? Well, it’s time now to plunge yourself into the spectacular world of ballroom dancing.

Welcome to the UBC Dance Club, the perfect dancing environment to begin or continue your adventure! This year, we are celebrating our 64th year of ballroom dancing at UBC. Expect no less than a year packed with fantastic high-spirited events, splendid soirees, and a spectacular annual UBC Gala Ball.

We provide a full year of lessons (16 weeks) in which you will learn International Style Ballroom and Latin dancing. Jive, Cha Cha, Rumba, Waltz, and Quickstep as well as many other dances will be taught by some of BC’s most accomplished and able instructors. Our outstanding faculty includes Kyryl Dudchenko, Joel Marasigan, Zillion Wong, and Ashley Diaz. Registration begins September 19th 2012.

Monthly events and practices are free for club members. There are plenty of specialty workshops to choose from throughout the year. From Standard Technique to Cha Cha Variations or the Club’s own Introduction to Competition seminar, you will never run out of dancing experiences!
