About UBC Dance Club
Welcome to UBC Dance Club, the perfect place to begin or continue your adventure in ballroom dance! Expect no less than a year packed with fantastic high-spirited events, splendid soirees, and a spectacular annual UBC Gala Ball.
We provide a full year of lessons (16 weeks) in which you will learn International Style Ballroom and Latin dancing. International Standard dances are very smooth and carry you gracefully around the room. The Standard division includes the Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Tango, and Viennese Waltz. The Latin dances are very rhythmic and use a special type of hip action. The Latin division includes the Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive, and Paso Doble. All of these dances will be taught by some of BC’s most accomplished and able instructors. Our outstanding faculty includes Kyryl Dudchenko, Joel Marasigan, Zillion Wong, and Murray Schellenberg.

Honorary Members are members who have been recognized for their outstanding services to the Dance Club.
