Clara Shih
Clara Shih Marasigan is a dedicated instructor and founder of JC Dance Co., as well as a full-time mom of two little cute girls! (Check them out on facebook!) Back in the day, Clara and her husband Joel traveled and competed around the world. They ranked 2nd in all of Canada, which is the highest national ranking that any BC couple has ever received. They are one of the only couples in BC to do full-time study in the two meccas of ballroom dancing: London, England and a small remote town in Italy, known as La Vecchia. Joel and Clara began dating and, naturally, started dancing at the UBC Dance Club. Clara is excited to be back at UBC to share her passion for dance with everyone.

Anthony Chong and Gloria Chien
Tony and Gloria followed their love and passion for dancing to Italy, where they have trained for the past 5 years. They have competed extensively throughout Europe, and achieved the highest ranking of 26th in the world on the WDSF Senior 1 ranking list. They are the current and 3-times undefeated Senior BC Champions and 4-times Canadian finalists.

Maryana Dudchenko
Maryana Dudchenko began her dancing career at the age of 4 in Ukraine. Since moving to Canada with her family in 2000, she continued to dance ballroom competitively traveling all over North America and Europe representing British Columbia. Over the years, Maryana enjoyed training in different forms of the arts, but in the end chose ballroom dancing as her career. Since receiving her teaching license in 2010, she has been teaching ballroom to people of all ages as well as training herself. She is currently the top Latin competitor in British Columbia, one of the top Under 21 competitors in North America and a Canadian Latin finalist.
